Week of Hope is our summer mission opportunity for our Middle School Students (those whom just finished grades 6-9.) It is run by Group Mission trips out of Loveland Co. (www.groupmissiontrips.com). Group has been involved in student ministry for almost 30 years. Week of Hope is a community service mission trip throughout several locations in the United States.
Students participate in many various mission projects that range from, but are not limited to: working with the elderly in a nursing home or assisted living, working with children at Camps or VBS, serving the homeless at food banks, partnering with other community organizations, and working with local residents in their homes. Each year the mission opportunity is tied into a scripture and theme for the week. We start each day focusing on the theme with our morning service, then at our mission sites, and again in the evening with a high energy evening program. Each evening program is interactive, and has games, worship, videos, and always tons of fun. Throughout the week students and adult leaders build relationships with those they serve, and grow closer as a youth group, but most importantly students and adults are challenged in their faith, as a result grow closer to God. There is no lack of fun on mission trips either. During free time, there is time to play indoor or outdoor games, get ice cream, and fellowship.
