Adult Ministries

Adventure Book Group
The Adventure Book Group is a book discussion group for adults, which meets on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am each week.  Books are chosen by participants and generally have a Christian theme to them. Recently the group has read, The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel,  Braving the Wilderness by Brene Brown, A Bigger Table by John Pavlovitz and Anxious for Nothing by Max Lucado. The group is always open to new “readers” and persons are welcomed to join the group for just books that interest them, or for the entire year.  The group meets from September thru the beginning of June. Men's Morning Book Study
The Men's Morning Book Study Group meets on Wednesdays at 6:45 - 8:00 am.  We read and discuss contemporary books and the Bible in order to better understand our Christian calling in current times.  We have recently read The Prophetic Connection, by Walter Brueggemann and Between the World and Me, by Ta-Nahisi Coates.  New men are invited to join. Contact: John Culbertson

Sunday Morning Bible Study
A group of adults gathers after worship at 11 am each Sunday to study God’s word together. They follow the lectionary and read sections of the Bible and than discuss it together with the assistance of a leader.  This study is open to anyone who would like to seek a great understanding of the Bible. Wellness on Wednesday (WOW)
WOW meets on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 am to pray, share thoughts and readings and do some gentle exercises to improve balance and strength. We then have speakers and sometimes go on field trips. We have learned about nutrition, travel, current events, karate, art, and poetry.  Come join us. We are a merry group and you will make it even merrier. Contact: Victoria Moon

Women’s Bible Study Groups
There are two offerings for women who are interested in gathering for weekly study which is done through the use of a curriculum resource. One group meets on Monday evenings at 7pm and the other group gathers on Thursday Mornings at 10:00am.  Both groups use the same curriculum.  Recently these groups have studied Beth Moore’s The Quest, Moses by Adam Hamilton and Made for a Miracle by Mike Slaughter.  New participants are welcomed at any time.
